In 2020, we first connected with the two founders of WP FeedBack – the company that later rebranded to Atarim – Vito & Jehrome. They had just come out of running a successful lifetime deal, common for software startups looking to validate what they’re building.
Our areas of responsibility for Atarim spanned across ops, growth, and product. Our team was closely involved in daily conversations with customers, growth strategy (and execution), and helping their engineering team build a better product.
About Atarim
Atarim is the first complete platform to collect, triage, and action tasks on your design projects. Like sticky notes on a webpage, your product UI, or ad creative, but better.
Ship your best work without the guesswork.
The Challenge
When Atarim came to us, they were fresh out of running their first lifetime deal.
The co-founders, Vito and Jehrome, had little plans beyond focusing on serving the core demographic they had attracted through this lifetime deal with the small team they had built so far.
We joined in 2019 to help WP FeedBack mature its growth, operations, and product functions across the board. At the time, no concrete plans for a rebrand had been made, and our key focus was to take what they had built so far and turn it into a sustainable business that would allow them to continue serving users.
The Solution
We implemented and executed across all three areas we help companies with (growth, ops, and product) to help Atarim both grow its WordPress market share as well as expand to a design collaboration platform beyond the WordPress ecosystem:
- Product Evolution
- Facilitated the transition from a WordPress plugin to a standalone SaaS platform
- Introduced new features based on user feedback and market research
- Streamlined the user experience to appeal to a broader market
- Helped prioritize the product roadmap to align with business goals
- Growth Strategy
- Developed and executed a comprehensive rebranding strategy
- Created targeted marketing campaigns to reach new customer segments
- Established partnerships with complementary software providers
- Implemented data-driven decision-making processes for marketing initiatives
- Operational Excellence
- Streamlined internal processes and communication
- Built scalable customer support systems
- Established metrics and KPIs to track progress
- Developed documentation and training materials for the growing team
Helping Atarim Build A Better Product with Friction Logging
A prerequisite of almost all engagements at ScaleMath is for us to become power users of a product. With that, everyone on our team participates in documenting friction.
Here’s an inside look at how we do this:
From WP FeedBack to Atarim
In February of 2021, we announced the transition of WP FeedBack to Atarim.
After a launch just 18 months earlier, spawning out of an internal need at Vito’s agency – they had iterated their way from a simple WordPress feedback plugin all the way through to a fully-fledged SaaS product with a stronger focus on improving how teams operate.

As the product and vision for WP FeedBack evolved, so have the brand’s needs.
We were no longer just a plugin, nor were we just a feedback tool.
Though the name suggested that we are exactly that: The “WP” in WP FeedBack suggested we were just a plugin, and the word “FeedBack” suggested that we’re, well, a feedback tool.
To position ourselves for these recent changes & all of our upcoming plans, we’re excited to announce that we’re also rebranding to Atarim.

Why Atarim? Great question.
The literal meaning of “Atarim” is “Websites” in Vito (one of the founder’s) native languages.
Product Messaging & Positioning
A large component of our work on the services & advisory side of ScaleMath is centered around messaging & positioning. In fact, it is one of the main areas, we also take on project-based work as companies specifically turn to us for the more complex positioning & messaging projects for B2B SaaS products, and especially developer products.
Atarim was no exception.
Besides leading them through a rebrand from WP FeedBack to Atarim (and successful domain migrations without losing traffic) – we worked with them over the course of 4 years continuously testing and updating their product’s messaging and positioning to where it is today.
Before ScaleMath: No clear value proposition.

After ScaleMath: Clear value proposition & message testing to validate that our ideal customer profile immediately understood what Atarim does.

Customer Friendly Documentation
Building a great product is only half the battle – helping users get the most out of it is just as critical. Atarim’s help center wasn’t just an afterthought; it became a key pillar of their customer experience strategy.
We helped Atarim develop a clear, structured, and user-friendly knowledge base that eliminates friction, reduces support requests, and accelerates user adoption.
Clarity Over Complexity
Technical documentation often suffers from one of two extremes: it’s either too dense for beginners or too basic for power users. We struck the right balance – making sure documentation was concise, actionable, and jargon-free, while still catering to advanced users with deeper insights.
Strategic Information Architecture
A knowledge base is only useful if people can find what they need, fast. We worked with Atarim to categorize and structure content intuitively, ensuring users could quickly navigate to:
- Getting Started guides for smooth onboarding
- Role-Specific Guides tailored to different team members
- Advanced Usage tips for power users
Beyond Static Documentation
A help center isn’t just a collection of articles – it’s an extension of the product experience. To make support more engaging and accessible, we encouraged the use of short-form video tutorials, screenshots, and interactive walkthroughs alongside traditional guides.
Reducing Support Overhead
Great documentation doesn’t just educate users – it deflects unnecessary support tickets, allowing the Atarim team to focus on higher-value interactions. By refining FAQs, troubleshooting sections, and self-service resources, we helped cut time-to-resolution and improved overall customer satisfaction.
A Living Resource, Not a Static Archive
We didn’t just build a help center and walk away. We implemented a continuous feedback loop, ensuring that as Atarim’s product evolved, so did its documentation – always aligned with user needs and real-world usage. The result? A customer-friendly, self-serve knowledge base that enhances onboarding, reduces friction, and empowers users to make the most of Atarim – without having to open a support ticket.

As a part of this, we also produced video tutorials to complement the documentation. Example below:
Video Case Study Interviews
How Blue Pig Web Solutions Streamlined Their Operation
Case studies are one of the most powerful ways to showcase real-world impact – and we knew that Atarim’s success with Blue Pig Web Solutions deserved more than just a testimonial.
When this is the case, we encourage companies to strategically develop and produce a compelling video case study, highlighting how Blue Pig Web Solutions transformed its workflow, eliminated inefficiencies, and scaled its operations with Atarim.
Why We Created This Video
Traditional case studies often rely on written content alone, but video storytelling creates a far more engaging and credible narrative. By capturing real user experiences and pain points – directly from their founder, Alex Christensen – this interview adds a human element that builds trust and relatability among potential customers evaluating Atarim.

Partnerships
Expanding Atarim’s Reach with BaseKit
Atarim’s evolution from a WordPress-specific tool to a comprehensive solution for web agencies, freelancers, and enterprises wasn’t accidental – it was the result of carefully cultivated partnerships that expanded its market reach and strengthened its product offering. One such key partnership was with BaseKit, a leading website-building platform designed for small businesses and agencies.

One such key collaboration has been with Dollie, a powerful growth platform designed to help agencies seamlessly manage WordPress hosting, automate site management, and scale recurring revenue.
